PRE-DIVORCE
If You Are Ready to Divorce, We Can Help
WHAT IS UTAH DIVORCE MEDIATION
Mediation is a healthier way to divorce or legally separate.

In mediation, spouses work with their neutral, expert mediator who raises every issue of divorce, including division of assets and debts, spousal support, and all child-related issues, such as parenting time, legal decision-making, and child support.
For each issue, your attorney-mediator will explain the law and address what is important to each of you, helping you reach your best possible agreement.
You can agree to follow the standards according to the law, or create unique agreements that better meet your needs and make sense for your family. Customized divorce agreements produce better outcomes than a judge making decisions for you.

Once you reach your agreement, we draft your final divorce or legal separation decree. Each spouse reviews the draft and, if they choose, can seek additional independent legal advice. We then file your documents with the court. And you never need to step foot in a courtroom.
FIRST STEPS TO UTAH DIVORCE
Our goal at Salt Mediation is to make the divorce process simple and affordable. We help you avoid a harmful court battle and guide you through every step.
01
Consultation. Best first step is to schedule a consultation. It is ideal if both you and your spouse can be on the call, but not required. We'll answer all of your questions, explain exactly how our divorce process works and what you need to do to prepare. You will leave feeling confident and informed.
02
Prepare. We will schedule your mediation session and give you all the information you need so you come to mediation prepared and ready to make your best agreements.
03
Mediation. You will feel comfortable and prepared - the most important factors in any negotiation. You and your spouse will be in separate areas (either in-person or virtual) and your mediator will guide you through the entire process.
04
Finalize. Once you have an agreement, our Divorce Attorney-Mediator takes care of all court paperwork and required filings to finalize your dispute or divorce.
