Do you have to file for divorce before you mediate? Good question and one that I get asked all the time.
No, you do not have to file for divorce before you try mediation. You can file first if you like - some people do, many do not - it really is up to you and something we can discuss during your consultation.
But in general, no it is not required that you file for divorce before you mediate in Utah.
